E-Discussion - May 10 to June 10, 2004 This e-discussion will focus on the impact of ICT on gender relations and the ways ICT can be used to overcome gender inequalities. We will be sharing ideas, opinions, concerns, and lessons learned with development practitioners, policy makers, and academics.
The e-discussion complements two video conference seminars that took place this year: Measuring the impact of ICTs on men and women in developing countries, with video links to South Korea, Philippines, Japan, and Mongolia in January 2004; and the Engendering ICT seminar, with video links to Afghanistan, Thailand, Uganda, and Scotland in March 2004.
This e-discussion is cosponsored by the Gender and Development Group, PREM Knowledge and Learning, and the Global ICT Department of the World Bank.
