 ILEG in partnership with Ujamaa Centre with support from the Ford Foundation is hosting a Skills Share and learning Mission on securing community assets consisting of environmental justice advocates from the USA, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Tanzania Uganda and Kenya.
The aim is to strengthen and broaden professional capacities for addressing issues of securing community assets, social justice, and public interest environmental law in Africa and the United States of America.
It will also explore strategies of sustaining institutional responses and progressive impacts over the years to come.
The mission will also provide opportunity for environmental lawyers and environmental practitioners to collectively analyze their impacts over the years and harness their potential to ensure greater response to the environmental challenges facing the world generally even as they pay particular attention to their local and immediate constituencies.
